The Feeling of the Future: Creating from a Place of Possibility, Not Fear
Have you ever felt stuck, like you're watching your dreams from a safe distance, too afraid to chase them? I've learned a powerful lesson: we can't create our desired future from a place of fear.
When fear and anxiety take over, we focus on survival. Some hunker down, close off, and become the proverbial mouse in its hole, only peeking out to spot danger. From this place, we react rather than act. We create self-fulfilling prophecies based on perceived threats, trapping ourselves in a cycle of anxiety. Others distract themselves with a busy-ness that leads nowhere.
The truth is, none of these perceived dangers are real. They're constructs of our minds, interpretations of the world coloured by our fears. The same situation looks vastly different to a child, an elder in poverty, and a billionaire. Whose perception is "real"?
The answer: none of them. What truly matters is your vision for the future. What do you want to create, and how would it feel to have it?
Think of it this way: if anything were possible and failure wasn't an option, what would you do with your life? Immerse yourself in that feeling. That is the state from which you can manifest your dreams.
This year, I've noticed a common thread among those who thrive: they choose their emotional state. They don't let the world dictate their feelings. Instead, they tap into the feeling of their desired future, and they create from that place of possibility.
