From "Nothing" to Beachside Bliss: My Journey of Self-Discovery and Transformation

Just a few years ago, my life felt like a never-ending cycle of exhaustion and sacrifice. I was the tireless provider for my family, neglecting my own needs in the process. When I finally reached my breaking point and asked for help from the person nearest to me, the response was far from supportive.

Yes, I acknowledge my role in creating this situation. I had inadvertently taught my partner that I was the sole breadwinner, and when I had nothing left to give, neither did he. The realisation that I needed to leave my home to change the dynamics of our relationship was a difficult one, but it was also a turning point.

Suddenly, I found myself with no income and no home, relying on government assistance to make ends meet. But I knew that the only way out was through. I focused on healing, understanding that true change begins within. I couldn't create a new life while still entangled in hurt, anger, and exhaustion.

Taking time out for myself was challenging. I faced the constant, often innocent, questions from others about what I was doing with my life. "Nothing," I would reply, feeling a sense of humility I wasn't accustomed to. The judgement (some of it borne of stories in my head), was palpable. Even close friends and family urged me to get a job, apparently not understanding the emotional weight I was carrying.

But I knew I had to stay on track. My track. I had a vision for the life I wanted, and I was determined to make it a reality.

I knew that healing on its own was not going to create this new reality for me. I’ve seen many people stuck on the healing cycle for years on end.  With every bit of energy I could gather, I took a step, and then another, towards the life I desired.

Through unwavering focus and a deep understanding of my desires, I managed to create that life.

Yes, there are still some compromises, but it's only the beginning.  I got to live the beach lifestyle I wanted, I have a loving and supportive partner who grows alongside me,  I enjoy a healthy relationship with my sons, and I get to travel freely around the world.

There will be no more sob stories from this little duck.  I made a start and from there, things have been unfolding exponentially.  There truly are no limits, as you will see if you continue to follow my story.

Overcoming adversity may have been a badge of honour in the past, but creating chaos just to prove my resilience is no longer my path. I'm now focused on building a life filled with joy, peace, and fulfilment. And, of course, living my passion and purpose.
